陈颙

陈顒，江苏宿迁人。1965年毕业于中国科技大学。其后，在邢台地震、海城地震和唐山地震从事野外地球物理观测和进行现场地震预报研究。

70年代，从事高温高压下岩石物性研究。1978-1980年，在美国进行核废料处理研究。

陈顒在地震机理和预测、岩石物理学、自然灾害定量化、核电站安全监测等方面，共发表专著译著十余部，论文近百篇。近年来，主要的研究方向是用地震波探测地下结构和状态的理论和方法，及其在环境、能源和减灾方面的潜在应用。近年来的工作重点是发展地震雷达，用可控震源和地震台阵编绘地下三维地图。

陈顒先后担任地球物理所所长，国家地震局副局长等职。学术活动方面担任过：IASPEI的国际地震预报和地震灾害委员会主席，国际地震中心(ISC)执行理事，中国地震学会理事长。1993年当选中国科学院院士，2000年当选第三世界科学院院士。现任中国地震局科技委主任，中国地球物理学会理事长。
